The Best Social Media Aggregator/Client/Dashboard?...how 'bout self branding?

I was recently in a forum discussion entitled What is the best Social Aggregator? on the LinkedIn group "Social Media Today"

There where many, many comments about Hootsuite and it's new Freemium program. Personally, I have not recommended clients to Hootsuite because of the advance buzz about the pay program. But I also like the ability to use the different functions on the various mobile platforms vs. the desktop platforms of the numerous Twitter Aggregators/Clients/Dahsboards to fulfill different tasks: At this point no single company is good at everything.

However, the conversation prompted me to do some research that I had not done in several months (an eternity in the evolution of SM!) and I think I found a very good new SOCIAL MEDIA desktop dashboard program for multiple SM sites and it does some things that I haven't found in others.

Simply put, here's the problem...When I post using one of the Twitter clients it looks like this:

When you post your messages to Twitter, no matter which of the popular applications you use, you're still giving away valuable real estate and backlinks to someone else like Hootsuite, etc. This bothers the salesman in me that I'm increasing someone's page rank and NOT my own.

Essentially, if you use TweetDeck, Seesmic, Hootsuite, or virtually any other application, go check your Twitter feed now and you'll see what I mean. Every single tweet you post on YOUR page has THEIR name on it, plus a link back to THEIR website.

So, everytime you tweet, you're advertising THEIR brand and not your own. In my search, I came across a solution to the problem called Market Me Suite

I downloaded the software to my laptop a few days ago and have been playing with it. I manage or oversee about 10 Twitter accounts so I wanted to check it out pretty well.

The big thing for me was the SELF BRANDING. You can:
  • Brand your tweets with your own name - in our case "Rapid Production Marketing"
  • Insert a link back to your own website.
  • Manage all of your twitter Marketing Efforts in ONE tool and your Facebook & Blogs.

I've been in touch with Tammy at the company with some minor problems and WOW she got back to me really fast. Refreshing.

The other very nice thing is that URL shorteners, via bitly, a Facebook and Blog in beta, and a lot of other controls are in the dashboard to help you manage all of your SM spaces.

I especially like where this development is going. You can tell allot about what a companies longer terms plans and ideas are when you use their software... To say that I'm impressed with where I see the functionality going is an understatement.
They also have a very very nice way of programming future postings that uses a Google calendar.

There is a downside: They don't have a mobile app platform yet. So you still have to rely on other apps, but the entire space is still evolving. TODAY, The folks at Market Me Suite seem to be onto something.

Here's the LINK to their website: "Market Me Suite"

I would be interested in you comments, insights and experiences with this program or others that you have found useful.

Tammy,

Thanks for getting back to Jennifer so quickly. I promise I will begin using the new Blog app as soon as I get a moment and give you some feedback. I'm looking forward to the iPhone & iPad version as soon as it's available!

Hi Jennifer, Bernie mentioned you had commented. I'm Tammy, co-founder of MarketMeSuite. We have Google URL builder integrated with MMS. You can bring in your bitly key into MMS as well so that you get full reporting from that service.

I'd be happy to talk to you in more detail about this. I'm on skype as PieDogMedia.
Best,
Tammy

One of the things I love most about Hootsuite is it's mobile app, and the reporting features on it, I am also able to integrate my google analytics into Hootsuite, which allows me to do more analyzing at one location.

I'm curious as to what the reporting features are like with marketmetweet, and can you run reporting off of the bit.ly through that app, or do you have to log into bit.ly to run stats?

You know me a strong advocate of links back to my site, ever since the beginning of Twitter I have been using Tweetbrand (http://marketmetweet.com/). So my tweets have always looked like the one below...

My little branding tool, has now evolved into and entire suite like you where mentioning, MarketMeSuite 2.0. but I have not tried it yet. Now that you mention it, and out of customer loyalty, I will try MarketMeSuite 2.0 when I get time.

Thanks for the heads up that is time to upgrade longtime used tool. Maybe I can now stop using some the many other twitter tools I do, to keep @IndTraining hopping. :>)
