Are you hurting your business on LinkedIn?

Many people who are "new" to LinkedIn (and even some that have been on for a while) that I talk to will  say "I just don't get it, nobody connects with me like you say they will.  I'm the one that's always inviting people and I know that they know me already"  Don't take it to heart. It may be because…

Federal employees and contractors kept in the dark - Suprise Suprise

Even as Congress and the Obama administration flirts with shutting down the government every two or three weeks, federal employees and contractors are complaining they are being kept in the dark on how they would be affected if a shutdown happens.

What is a Social Media expert?

"How do I tell you that you don't know what you don't know"

The entire space is evolving so quickly that what you thought you knew a few hours ago has changed. A new outlet has sprung up, a new option, a new potential way to use an existing tool, more people have arrived on an outlet and the dynamic has changed.

1849 and…

Industrial Social Media Marketing Success Stories - What We Can Learn from Criterion Machine Works

Criterion Machine Works is a small manufacturing company in Costa Mesa, CA. They've been in business for 75 years starting as a job shop serving the movie and then defense industries. Twitter, QR Codes & Managing your Mobile Sales Force

What's the next big thing? What should you be thinking about as Social Media explodes into a frenzy of evolution? QR codes!

QR codes are two-dimensional bar codes like the one pictured below at the right. Who leads the charge in Social Media? Marketing, PR, Sales, Customer Service? Who Knows?

Social Media is a 'new' way to sell. Selling is, after all, about relationships. People do business with people that they "LIKE" and merely having a website, literature, advertising, etc. isn't going to generate revenue.

What Social Media is doing is creating a new paradigm. I know that that sounds cliché. But I believe that it's creating a new "type" of business. Traditional marketing adapted, very successfully in the 1980's thru 1990's, to creating websites after they had experience…

As we have worked with various companies on their social media campaigns one of the persistent problems that companies have had issues with is that their current employees do NOT always show up on their LinkedIn Company page.

Part of this relates to employees that created profiles before the company page was created or they have not chosen your company from the auto generated drop down menu when they input your company into their…
